1. These are some consideration to develop students' listening. (Brewster, Ellis & Girard)
Give the children confidence. We should not expect them to always understand every word and they should know this.
Explain why the children have to listen. Make sure the learners are clear about why they are listening, what the main point or purpose of the activity is.
Help children develop specific strategies for listening. An important strategy that the teacher should teach is 'intelligent guesswork'. Pupils are used to drawing on their background knowledge to work out something they are not sure of.
Set specific listening tasks.
Listening does not have to rely on the availability of a cassette or pre-recorded material. Most listening is teacher talk.
2. because Listening and speaking skills co-occur in real-life discourse and they are not mutually exclusive. teaching listening and speaking skills in integration can improves oral communicative competence of the students.
3. From the practices of teaching speaking to young learners i choose guess my animals-questions the procedures are firstly the student is asked to choose a picture of animals but they don't tell the name of animals to his/her friends. The others students need to guess about the name of animals for example; is it a cat ? If they still can not answer or guess the correct answer they can ask more questions such as; what does it is? And etcetera. I think this method or practice will be interested for the students and the students will be more active and have fun in the class. And they also will not realise that they are learning speaking.
