STRUCTURED TASK (Speaking to YL)

Class : 2B

1.    1.   My first consideration in teaching speaking to young learners is basically to make children feel comfortable and happy for example learning by singing so that children feel enjoy, entertained, and not bored, then always giving praise so that their enthusiasm and motivation are maintained in learning because children are very enthusiastic and always have a positive outlook on learning.

2.   2.   Speaking can be integrated with listening because every "we speak" automatically "we listen" what we talk about. so that it can be concluded when we speak then when it also listens. Both of these activities (talking and listening) are closely related packages.

3.  3.    From teaching practice to talking to young students, I chose the "Song with action" method. This is a method that is very suitable for children and is very fun.
The steps are:
1. presenting material through songs then singing together (for example the names of various animals)
2. Practicing movements (eg rabbit movements ie jumping)
3. Do singing and action together.
